Freemasons Victoria

Story

Hello there!

Freemasons support each other, their families and the community.  Our on-going support of the Ballarat Cycle Classic is a simple way to demonstrate some core tenets of our organisation: charitable giving and voluntary effort.

As the Freemasons Victoria Cycling SIG, we are making a difference by fundraising for cancer research at the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute. Please support our efforts by making a secure online donation and by posting a message of support.

Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute. Thanks so much for your support!

    Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute

The Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Instituite is based in Ballarat and is Australia’s only regionally based cancer research centre. The research is focused on the role of the immune system, how it relates and can be used to treat cancer. It is hoped that by identifying these proteins on the surface of cancer cells, druggable targets can be developed to allow the immune system to attack the cancer, without chemotherapy and radiation. The research aims to help patients with a broad range of cancers – from Leukemia, Bowel, Ovarian, Breast, Brain and Pancreato-Biliary cancers, as well as haematological cancers.

    Thank you for your support.
